Recycled Content and Sustainability
POLYWOOD is dedicated to maintaining a zero-waste mindset, and we recycle millions of pounds of materials annually. The largest portion of these materials is landfill- and ocean-bound high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastics, which we transform into genuine POLYWOOD lumber.
Genuine POLYWOOD lumber is infinitely reusable. Any scraps from our production floor go right back to our on-site recycling plant to be reground, sent to extrusion, and made back into lumber.
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond recycling post-consumer plastics. We also recycle or reuse post-industrial scrap—glass, packaging, paper, aluminum, shrink wrap, fasteners, fabric, resin, and wooden pallets—which reduces our environmental impact.
