Cushion Care and Maintenance Follow
You may not realize it, but your outdoor cushions and pillows have to withstand a lot. Direct sunlight, pouring rain, dirt and dust, wine spills, greasy sunblock splatters, the list goes on. While they’re constructed out of fabric made to endure harsh outdoor conditions, your cushions are still susceptible to stains and damage — especially if left out during winter or rainstorms.
Caring for Your Fabric
BRUSH OFF DIRT. It’s best to brush or rinse off any loose dirt and debris before it has a chance to become embedded in the fabric. Revolution Performance Fabrics® do not promote mildew growth, but mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric.
WIPE UP AND CLEAN SPILLS RIGHT AWAY. Clean spills with a homemade mixture of one cup mild soap per gallon of lukewarm water, applying to spills right away with a clean cloth. Rinse the areas thoroughly and let them air dry completely. Cushions dry faster standing on their sides. Only air dry cushions and pillows; do not dry clean. Do not use heat, hot water, harsh detergents, or hard bristles.
MAKE YOUR CUSHIONS LAST. Periodically flip your cushions for even wear on each side. Store your cushions in dry, covered area when not in use.
